The first week of summer has come and gone and it's been busy. It hasn't slowed down yet.
The boys were in soccer camp. A couple of young men from Britain came to coach soccer and all three boys were part of it. John & Josh went all day from 9 am to 4 pm. Exhausted, thrilled, great, learned lots, fun and tired were a few words they used to describe their reaction to camp. We billeted the coaches. They arrived Sunday evening, we got them settled and helped the get organized and then the busy week of soccer began.
At the same time, my friend Sheila Pickering Garzon came for an overnight visit. She is a missionary in Columbia, married a local guy and now they have a son and a daughter. Great family! They are on furlough and visiting friends and supporters in Western Canada. It was great to host them and have them stay and play.
During the past year we have been enjoying building a friendship with a couple who are originally from South Africa. His parents and son came for a visit to Canada and dropped by to meet us on Saturday afternoon. It was so nice for them to take time out of their busy schedule to drop by.
So we've had visitors from three different continents in our home this past week. What a great way to start out summer!
