Day 2, Saturday, July 4: John and the boys left at 6 a.m. and made it to Kenora, Ontario today. My Mom and I are enjoying 'girl time.'
Day 3, Sunday, July 5 - Kenora to Sault Ste. Marie - John and the boys traveled almost 1200 km today. I'm sure they'll sleep in tomorrow. I had a quiet, restful day today.
Day 4, Monday, July 6 - John and the boys have arrived in Oshawa. My Mom's bag is packed and I had a nice visit with my aunt in Waldheim this afternoon.
Tuesday, July 7 Day 5: Planes, trains and automobiles: We flew to Toronto on an early morning flight. Whose idea was it to book that flight? Then took the UP Express train to Union Station and the GoTrain to Oshawa, where my favourite FIL met us and took us to the campground. Love the new to us tent trailer!
Wednesday, July 8 Day 6: John and Dad took the boys golfing at his hometown course, while my mom and I enjoyed an afternoon with my MIL.
Thursday, July 9 Day 7: The grand tour: John's hometown of Newcastle, lunch at Hanc's Chips, visits with uncle Jake and aunt Rinney Wind, and Verburgs, his schools in Newcastle and Bowmanville, and a stop at the Dutch Store. We celebrated John's Mom's birthday with more visits with relatives and friends.
Friday, July 10, Day 8: I bought TO Citypasses so today we enjoyed the
CN Tower and the ROM (Royal Ontario Museum) and some interesting places
in Toronto with John's sister, Lisa.
Saturday, July 11, Day 9: Relaxing on the shore of Lake Ontario today, enjoying a visit with John's sister Janet, along with Kelsey and Kellen. The boys learned how to fish today and got a chance to see all their grandparents in one day.
Sunday, July 12, Day 10: Charles Price spoke at the People's Church in Toronto this morning. John's Mom joined us for Church and lunch. Then we enjoyed the Zoo, followed by a Pizza supper at John's Mom's.
Monday, July 13, Day 11: Off to Niagara today and a step up in camping - I love KOA campgrounds! More visits with family today and a quick trip to the Falls for a picture with my Mom, as she flies home by herself tomorrow.
Tuesday, July 14, Day 12: A tour through St. Catharines, Vineland, Beamsville and Brock took up the majority of our day. A visit to a doctor's office (for Austin's sore foot) and a visit with Aunt Tina were the stopping points of the day.
Wednesday, July 15, Day 13: Niagara-on-the-Lake is a quaint, picturesque city, where I always pick up the creamiest fudge ever. Yum! Niagara Falls viewed from the Hornblower cruise deck was incredible! The lights on the Falls at night are an amazing sight. It's fun to be a tourist.
Thursday, July 16, Day 14: Packed up and headed north to Dad and Joann's cottage on Kushog Lake in the Halliburton region. The boys put together a dinghy and are enjoying the lake.
Friday, July 17, Day 15: It was a rainy day, so we stayed inside the cottage and played games. The tent trailer stayed dry, but I can't say the same for our shoes or the boys when they were pushed in the lake by their dad.
Day 16, Saturday, July 18: A perfect day at the lake to enjoy the dinghy, the tube, a neighbour's paddle boat, Dad's pontoon boat and a game of pirates. Then after a barbecue supper, Grandpa challenged the boys to a game of marbles. A lovely day.

from John's sister Joy, along with her daughter Autumn. We enjoyed a
tour of Kushog Lake courtesy of Dad and Joann after supper. A deep
conversation with Dad and Joann capped off the day.
Day 18, Monday, July 20: Today we packed up and left the Halliburton region to travel to Ottawa. Unfortunately we had to limp into Arnprior (yeah, I'd never heard of it either) after our trailer blew off most of its outer layer of rubber. It's nice to learn there are friendly, helpful Canadians found in many places in Canada.
Day 19, Tuesday, July 21: A walking tour of Ottawa today: Notre Dame, the Centre Block, Parliament Hill, the National Art Gallery, By Ward Market, and the Rideau Canal.
Day 20, Wednesday, July 22: Ottawa is such a lovely city and makes me proud to be a Canadian. Today we toured the War Museum, wandered down Sparks street, viewed the War Memorial and walked to Quebec and back.
Day 21, Thursday, July 23: Josh was thrilled with a visit to the Canadian Tire Centre and bought out the store. I flew home and the boys packed up and drove to Sturgeon Falls. They had Pizza Pizza for supper. It's John's favourite, but I didn't get any on this trip.
Day 22, Friday, July 24: I mowed the lawn and started my laundry while John and the boys continued their travels. They camped in Agawa Bay after traveling through Sudbury and Sault St. Marie, a 530 km trip. They stayed dry in spite of the downpour through the night.
Day 23, Saturday, July 25: I weeded my flower beds, water flowers and tended my pots today, took a long nap and walked Lucy. John and the boys drove 570 km around Lake Superior to Thunder Bay today. They enjoyed the pool at the KOA campground, did laundry, had showers and set up the trailer before it started to rain.

Day 25, Monday, July 27: John & the boys visited the Human Rights Museum in Winnipeg today.
Day 26, Tuesday, July 28: They packed up before the rain hit again this morning. After a long day of travel, John and the boys arrived home in time for supper. Now for the mountain of laundry. And that's THE END!
